The Ball is a first-person adventure action game that features unusual gameplay and uses an engine from Epic, Unreal Engine 3. You get stuck in a cave, being a brave archaeologist working on the slopes of an extinct volcano somewhere in Mexico. It very quickly comes to you that this is not just a cave. You discover ancient ruins that were hidden for many centuries from strangers, and you find a mysterious artifact - a Ball chained in a shell of gold and metal. Going forward and solving the riddle of this amazing place, you must uncover the secrets of the Ball and learn how to manage this ancient artifact. Going deeper and deeper, you reveal some of the greatest secrets of mankind, and not only puzzles and traps, but also various strange creatures - keepers of secrets - get in your way. You must defeat these creatures using only the Shar as your only weapon.
