42 years after the events of System Shock 1, Tri-Optimum Corporation, with the support of the United Nations Nominee UNN, creates and sends on its maiden flight the Superluminous (FTL) spacecraft Von Braun. The idea of ​​creating the FTL engine belongs to M. Delacroix, who received the Nobel Prize and the position of Chief Design Engineer on the ship. The ship´s safety was to be ensured by the docked destroyer Rickenbaker, under the command of W.B. Diego, son of E. Diego, responsible for the Citadel station tragedy in 2072. Von Braun´s own captain was appointed A. Korenechkin, a greedy and greedy UNN official with little flying experience and promoted to the high command for political reasons. Fortunately, he could be contacted by Dr. Polito, who said that the soldier should definitely meet her in her private office on Deck 4 of the ship.
