1. A brief history of a long journey

The evolution of air-filled tires last a long time and has been associated with vna¬chale tedious do¬bychey natural base materi¬ala - rubber. Until now, no one tire is not without rubber. This materi¬al extracted from the sap of the tropical de¬revev, was known to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and of course yuzhno¬amerikanskim Indians. They nazyva¬li, as they say, the rubber tree "kauutchu", which means "weeping tree". Way of rubber in Europe is associated with razno¬obraznoy and not brilliant for the Old World history.
Using rubber as ma¬teriala tire treads poyavleni¬em started with solid rubber wheels for all types. With the invention and use of a pneumatic tire veterinarian John Boyd Dunlop in 1888 and lives in Belfast / Ireland, it was the basis of rubber. This was used exclusively to natural rubber until in 1917 did not begin production of the first pro¬myshlennoe sintetichesko¬go rubber Bayer Leverkusen. As usual, the production of such rubber tires began much poz¬zhe. Both varieties of rubber and today you can still find in the tires. And precisely because of synthetic rubber which exists in various versions - can have a significant impact on the properties of the tire. History tires associated with numerous names, but special mention must be Dunlop (Dunlop), Goodyear (Goodyear), and the brothers Michelin (Michelin). But every now suschestvu¬yuschy American and European tire manufacturers (most recently as Asian manufacturers) once had a significant impact on the evolution of tires and contributed to its progress. Some of them have disappeared, others have gone out of business for the production of tires - such as rubber plants proizvod¬stvu «Phoenix» (Phoenix).
