Steel Division: Normandy 44 is a real-time tactical strategy (RTS) developed by Eugen Systems, the creator of the Wargame series and R.U.S.E. This new game provides under your command with detailed traced and historically accurately reproduced tanks, infantry troops and other military equipment on the battlefields of the Second World War. Players can test their tactical talents with other players in large multiplayer battles or oppose a computer opponent in a difficult single-player campaign.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 gives you the opportunity to command legendary combat units from six different countries, including the 101st US Airborne Division, the German 12th Panzer Division and the 3rd Canadian Division during the Allied landing in Normandy in 1944.

Maps are based on archived aerial photographs of Normandy in 1944, so the players ’strategic and tactical decisions should reflect the real world.

Victory requires not only firepower, but also the skillful selection and placement of units and their further maneuvering. The loss of each unit significantly affects the tactical capabilities of the players.
From the strategic command of historically accurately reproduced tanks, infantry, and other military equipment, to the deployment of their troops and their introduction into battle, players need to be prudent, inventive, and far-sighted in order to achieve victory. Each unit is significant as the battle unfolds, and just brute firepower will not be enough to win.
