Task 1.

In the dictionary you studied a foreign language get the word (at least 20), derived from the Latin words. Explain some of the basics of Latin, they are formed and how to change their value.


Task 2.

Translated into Russian the following text:


DE ROMULO ET REMO ROMAE CONDITORIBUS

Titus Livius rerum scriptor Romanorum in libris suis, qui «Ab urbe condita» appellantur, fabulam de Romulo et Remo, and quibus Roma condita est, narrat. Fama est Numitorem Albae Longae regem ab Amulio, fratre suo, regno privatum esse. Amulius, fratri invidens, ejus nepotes in flumine demergi, matrem autem eorum in carcere custodiri jubet. Sed regis ministri, qui infantes in flumen proicere debent, regi non parent et pueros parvulos in fluminis ripa ponunt. Tum lupa, quae forte ad flumen venit, pueros parvulos invenit et lacte suo nutrire coepit. Postea ei, a Faustulo pastore regio inventi, uxori ejus educatum traditi sunt.


Paulo ante legebamus Romulum et Remum a pastore regio inventos uxori ejus educatum traditos esse. Itaque pueri inter pastores educabantur et paulatim adolescebant. Adolescentes in silvis et montibus vicinis cum aliis juvenibus venabantur et multas bestias feras necabant. Interdum Romulus et Remus etiam latrones, qui in eis locis pastores infestabant, aggrediebantur et praedam, latronibus ademptam, inter pastores dividebant. Sed ipsos aliquando latrones aggressi sunt et Remus a latronibus captus ad Amulium regem punitum adductus est.


Faustulus pastor regius jam antea suspicabatur nepotes ipsius Numitoris regis a se in Tiberis fluminis ripa inventos esse, sed nulli id \u200b\u200baperiebat. Nunc autem arbitratus Remum magno in periculo esse et Numitori et Romulo rem narrat.


Tum Romulus cum amicis suis Amulium aggreditur et rege occiso Remum fratrem liberat. Quo liberato nepotes regnum Numitori avo reddunt. Numitore mortuo urbem novam condere statuunt. Itaque in Palatino colle, qui haud procul a Tiberi situs erat, arcem parvam ponunt. Controversia inter fratres orta Romulus Remum fratrem suum occidit urbemque novam a suo nomine Romam nominat.

1. ab urbe condita - from the founding of the city (ie, Rome); invidens, entis (+ dat) - jealous (anyone) who hates (someone); coepit - began began.

Translated into Latin.


• Rome was founded by the brothers Romulus and Remus.

• Romulus and Remus were nurtured by a she-wolf.

• An ancient legend (fabula) says that the brothers Romulus and Remus were nurtured by a wolf.

• King Amulius orders servants boys drown in the river.

• Grandchildren king Numitor were thrown (expono 3) on the banks of the river.

• Speak (fama est), that the king Numitor grandchildren have been found on the bank of the river and the wolf fed on milk.
