Description of the subject area
You work in a jewelry shop. Your workshop carries out the manufacture of jewelry for individuals to order. You work with certain materials (platinum, gold, silver, various precious stones, etc.). When you contact a potential customer, you are determined by what kind of product it needs. All products you manufacture belong to a certain type (earrings, rings, brooches, bracelets), they are made of a certain material, have some weight and price (including the cost of materials and work). Each type of product has a name (earrings, a ring, a brooch, a bracelet, etc.) and an approved manufacturing cost.
Products (Product Code, Name, Type, Material Code, Weight, Price).
Materials (Material Code, Title, Price per gram).
Sales (Product code, Sale date, Surname of the buyer, Buyer´s name, Patronymic of the buyer).
The development of the formulation of the problem
During the trial operation of the database, it became clear that a piece of jewelry could consist of several materials. In addition, the workshop provides discounts for regular customers. Add changes to the table structure that take into account these facts, and modify existing queries. Add new queries.
Task for creating a database in a Microsoft Access environment
The order of the work:
• Selection of the subject area in accordance with the student´s serial number in the journal;
• Analysis of the textual description of the subject area;
• Selection of table structures and their creation;
• Filling in the data in the tables;
• Development of user interface. Creating forms;
• Creation of calculated queries;
• Creating output reports.
