All chapters present, first volume of "Fundamentals of comparative physiology" is devoted to the evolution of vegetative processes
metabolism, and a significant place is given to the leading factor
regulation of the autonomic processes of the nervous system. However
the specific issues of evolution of the nervous (and muscular) system will be discussed in the second volume.
