INTRODUCTION

In the developed economies simultaneously operate large, medium and small enterprises, as well as the activities based on personal and family labor. Size enterprises depends on the specific sectors of their technological features, economies of scale. There are industries associated with high capital intensity and a significant amount of production, and the industry that do not require large-sized enterprises, on the contrary, that small businesses are more preferred.
For a modern economy is characterized by a complex combination of different scale of production: a major trend towards monopolistic structures and small, are influenced by many factors. On the one hand, a stable trend of scientific and technological progress is the concentration of production. This large firms have large material, financial and human resources, skilled personnel. They are able to conduct large-scale research and development, which determine the technological progress. On the other hand, recently revealed a unprecedented growth of small and medium enterprises, especially in the areas where is not required significant capital, a large amount of equipment and the cooperation of the set of workers. Small and medium-sized enterprises are especially numerous in the high technology types of production, as well as in the sectors related to the production of consumer goods and services.
The effective functioning of small forms of production is determined by a number of advantages in comparison with the large-scale production: the proximity to local markets and adapt to the needs of customers, production of small batches (which is disadvantageous to large firms), the exclusion of unnecessary levels of management, and so on. D. Small production promote the differentiation and individualization demand in the field of industrial and personal consumption. Development of manufacture of small businesses creates favorable conditions for economic recovery, as the developing competitive environment, create more jobs, is actively restructuring, expanding consumer sector. In addition, small business development leads to saturation of the market in goods and services, increased export potential, better use of local raw materials.

The paper used such research methods as analysis and synthesis, generalization, systematization, classification, comparative mapping, and others.
As an information base of research were documentation and internal reporting data SP ***, as well as independent research work of the author.
The structure of the thesis reflects the essence, logical relationship, the order of formulating and solving problems, to achieve the goal of our study consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, list of references, applications.
In the introduction, found relevance, defined purpose and objectives of the work, the object and subject of research, design methods and sources of information.
In the first chapter of the thesis we examined the theoretical foundations of the organization and management of small businesses.
In the second chapter of the thesis analyzed the characteristics of the organization and management of a small business by the example of SP ***
In the third chapter of the thesis have been proposed ways of increasing the efficiency of the IP *** and calculation of their efficiency.
