Description of the subject area
You work for a company that sells wholesale goods. Your task is to track the financial side of the company. The activities of your company are organized as follows: your company trades goods from a certain range. Each of these products is characterized by price, reference information and a sign of the presence or absence of delivery. Your company is contacted by customers. For each of them you store in the database the standard data (name, address, phone, contact person) and make a document for each transaction, memorizing along with the customer the quantity of the goods purchased by him and the date of purchase.
Tables
Customers (Customer code, Name, Address, Telephone, Contact person).
Goods (Item Code, Price, Delivery, Description).
Orders (Order code, Customer code, Product code, Quantity, Date).
The development of the formulation of the problem
Now the situation has changed. It turned out that the delivery of different goods can be made in different ways, different in price and speed. It is necessary to store information on the ways in which the delivery of each product can be carried out and information about which type of delivery (and, accordingly, and what delivery cost) the client chose when concluding the transaction. Add changes to the table structure that take into account these facts, and modify existing queries. Add new queries.
Task for creating a database in a Microsoft Access environment
The order of the work:
• Selection of the subject area in accordance with the student´s serial number in the journal;
• Analysis of the textual description of the subject area;
• Selection of table structures and their creation;
• Filling data into tables (at least 5 lines in each table);
• Development of user interface. Creating forms;
• Creation of calculated queries;
• Creating output reports.
