Kirovsky district court in Yekaterinburg ordered to destroy the copies of the book Phil Jackson's "club culture" publisher "U-factor", seized at the end of June this year, officers of the Federal Service for Drug Control of the Sverdlovsk region. Employees of the State Drug Control seized copies of the book F. Jackson's "club culture" - 913 pieces. The reason for the deletion of entire print run - the need for the examination for the presence of drugs in the books of propaganda. The matter has been brought to the court and its decision: the book withdrawn shall be destroyed.
This book is about dancing, smiling, flirting, friendship and enjoyment. The essence of clubbing - fun in the company of others - differs from the other pleasures of the modern world. This book is regarded as an integral part of the clubbing of British culture, as a specific public space. Pay more attention to components club life: dance, music, sex, clothing and so on. The practice of club life is considered by the author as the destruction of the old culture of the body and in the formation of sensory experiments, new attitudes and practices in the art of being a man. The book is intended for sociologists, cultural studies, and a wide range of young readers interested in the possibilities of leisure activities.
This book consists of two parts. The first - "clubbing inside" - an ethnographic analysis of the club culture, based on the stories of the author's informants about their exploits at parties and on their own field work among the authors of the club. The author pays attention to the various sostav¬lyayuschim club life and regards dance, music, sex, drugs and clothing, showing how each of the parties clubbing creates a unique atmosphere of social clubs. In the second part - "Sensual experiments in the art of being a man" - explores the social and sensual experience clubbing in its connection with the wider social environment, which is immersed club culture.
