About the game: WARSHIFT is a pilot project in which the elements of the genre of action, RTS and RPG combined in a single interstellar epic. You can build a base, manage armies, then go down to keep the enemy at gunpoint, to gain experience in dynamic battles and improve your basic character. BACKGROUND: In 2062 the colonial planet "Enigma" was invaded by an aggressive alien race Atroid´s from a parallel world that has gone into our universe through the hypothetical "Gates of Chaos." These intangible beings were compelled to clothe their energy nuclei in strong physical shell (exo-skeletons) for environmental impact in our world. As a result, they have created an army of alien droids who are able to fight in any environment and at any temperature. The defensive line of planetary defense structures were not effective against the powerful energy weapon aliens. Soon, the biosphere of the planet felt the destructive power of their deadly attack, half of its surface into a lifeless desert. Garrison miner colony, consisting of volunteer soldiers, suffered huge losses and had to evacuate. All resource extraction on the planet has been suspended and corporations began to bear huge losses. But after numerous antiwar protests, the government of the Republic of Colonial did not want to risk human life and the scientists had to create an entirely new army for intergalactic operations.
