DayZ is a survival horror in the open world. The action takes place in the fictional modification post-Soviet state of Chernarus, whose residents as a result of a disaster turned into aggressive zombies. Managed player character has to survive in a hostile environment, avoiding enemies and mining in abandoned buildings, weapons and supplies. Character threaten not only computer-controlled zombies and other players, but also natural factors - hunger, thirst, injury and disease. Death in the game is final and irreversible - the death of the character the player is invited to join the game again, create a new character and start stockpiling supplies from scratch.
